This one-of-a-kind Community Animal Center will be a much-needed full-service, affordable veterinary clinic to serve those without access to care, as well as a premiere adoption destination to help the neediest animals find the homes they deserve. There are many areas in Atlanta that have little access to low- or no-cost vet care. By offering affordable, proactive wellness care, we can prevent many more animals from being unnecessarily surrendered or abandoned. We want to ensure that Atlanta can reach and sustain its status as a no-kill community by keeping more animals from being surrendered to shelters in the first place and allowing every adoptable animal that does enter the shelter to find a new forever home.
We are proud to report that we have secured over $3.2 million in pledges toward the project! We could not have achieved this milestone without help from our supporters. Please help us fund this critical project to ensure a better future for the animals in our city.
The Community Animal Center will be a premier adoption destination coupled with a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic— offering affordable care from minor surgery and dental work to x-rays and diagnostics. LifeLine will be able to help an additional 5,000 owned pets and will have the capacity to provide veterinary care to up to 20,000 animals annually. Additionally, we hope to celebrate more than 2,000 pet adoptions each year.
HOW TO HELP
GO BEYOND THE SHELTER WITH US
Throughout the United States, select communities have reduced the number of animals being euthanized in their shelters to less than 10% by making a fundamental shift toward lifesaving. LifeLine firmly believes that Atlanta can and should be one of these cities and is committed to making that vision a reality by aggressively promoting homeless pet adoption, providing affordable spay/neuter services, increasing public awareness, and advocating for lifesaving public policy. LifeLine is transforming a city with a troubled animal welfare legacy into a compassionate community deeply rooted in a culture of lifesaving that will create a model to be emulated nationwide. LifeLine is actively on its way to making its ultimate goal a reality: transforming metro Atlanta into a no-kill community that prioritizes saving the lives of its homeless pets.
